RSB Outreach and Engagement grants
The RSB offers a number of grants to help those looking to run outreach and engagement events, including those taking place in 2020.
The RSB Outreach and Engagement Grant scheme for 2020 is now closed to applications.
If you have an idea for an outreach event or activity and are looking for some additional funds to help make it a success, you can apply for up to either £200 or £500 towards event costs when the grant scheme next opens.
We look to fund a wide range of public engagement and outreach events and activities. We are keen to support people who are experienced in event delivery, people hoping to organise their first event, and everyone in between.
We have small grants up to £200 and full grants between £201 - £500.
The RSB Big Biology Day grant scheme is now closed to applications.
Big Biology Days are a one-day science festival, bringing together a variety of biological organisations under one roof to celebrate the life sciences by engaging the general public with an array of hands-on activities, displays and talks.
During our anniversary year, we are offering 10 grants of up to £500 each for you to run your own Big Biology Day in your local area - just find a venue, get some partners on board and you are good to go!
Usually held in a local school during a weekend or school holiday, Big Biology Days transform school halls and corridors into festival stands with hands on activities, games, crafts, talks, and other fun and engaging activities that highlight and get people talking about science.
Look out for Biology Week information later in the year.
You can get in touch with the outreach team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Royal Society of Biology is continually looking to increase our reach and presence. By directly supporting our members in the delivery of locally-focused events, we can help promote biology further afield and engage new audiences with varied and diverse biological topics.
