A virtual lecture exploring the Eurasian Spoonbill in the Atlantic coastal migration areas of Senegal
During this virtual talk, Dr Aïssatou Yvette Diallo, Birdlife International, will explore the migratory habits of the Eurasian Spoonbill Platalea leucorodia leucorodia in the Atlantic coastal migration areas of Senegal.
She will highlight the shared conservation needs of the migratory waterbirds and their flyways, with emphasis on the resting and feeding sites in the Easter Atlantic Flyway as well as behavioural observations in the critical sites for this species that are threatened and have a direct impact on the survival of the migratory waterbirds.
Speaker
Dr Aïssatou Yvette Diallo is a biodiversity and environment, ecology and ecosystem management expert specialising in Ornithology. She is currently working on the East Atlantic Flyway Initiative (EAFI) Program and bird species conservation with Birdlife International, Dakar, Senegal.
