No formal qualification in biology is required for our affiliate grade, all you need is a passion for the life sciences and a desire to get involved with the biological community.
Biology occupies a central position in 21st century society and we believe it's vital that everyone has a voice and the opportunity to contribute to discussions on contemporary science issues.

Membership fees
Annual fee = £75
Retired, career break or unwaged annual fee = £37.50
Students in part time education (undergraduate or masters) = £37.50
Apprentices* = £20
*Apprentices with more than 3 years’ experience working in a full-time biology related position are eligible for our discounted associate grade.
How to gift membership
To gift RSB membership this holiday season simply email the recipient’s name to membership@rsb.org.uk to request a gift certificate. The recipient will receive a quick-join link to sign up, and once they’ve completed their details, we’ll send you a payment link to finalise the gift.
